Like everyone else, I checked out all the good deals for Black Friday. Reading through them all, I some how missed one of my only purchases of the weekend. A new Samsung 46″ LCD TV. The only reason I came across this was going to Best Buy’s website on Thanksgiving. This is a light overview as I’ve only had it for a couple of days.
The model I purchased is the LN46B640. It is a 46″ Samsung 1080P 120Hz LCD TV which I was able to pick up for $999. I looked at the LED TV but I couldn’t justify the extra $600. All I can really say is i’m pumped, it’s absolutely amazing. Everything from watching movies to playing games is breathtaking. The 120hz motion is very smooth with the option to adjust it to what looks the best. I haven’t really had much time to mess with the settings to get it optimized but I have to say that it really looks good out of the box. Most of the time was putting every movie I have in and watching about two minutes and moving to the next. We also did quite a bit of gaming on it and it was nothing short of awesome. I’ve been playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on it and can’t seem to turn it off. One thing I haven’t tried on it yet is the game mode. I guess it’s supposed to improve the performance but so far I haven’t found the need to change anything.
So to wrap this up, this is one sweet TV. It’s even better for the price I was able to grab it for. So if you’re in the market and want a feature packed TV for a great price, then check out this panel you won’t be disappointed.
$999.00! Sweet deal indeed. 2 BF ago I got my 42 Panasonic Plasma for about $900.00 at Circuit City. I almost went and upgraded it this year. Maybe next!
