Halo: Waypoint

First up, for X-Box 360 fans, you’ll find the new Waypoint tracking system for the Halo franchise.  Basically it’s an app that you’ll load into your 360 Dashboard that will be your operations center for just about any thing you can think of dealing with Halo.

343 Industries’ Frank O’Connor: Waypoint will offer Halo enthusiasts access to audio and video content in addition to community features and the option to follow your “Halo career.”

Bioshock 2

2K Games released this new trailer for the next version of it’s “little sister” saving (or slaying) Bioshock!

Bioshock 2 isn’t due to hit the streets until 2-9-2010 on the X-Box 360 / PC / PS3 but Joystiq got an early preview of it.  Here’s their  full review [GO-->]

Army of Two: ‘The 40th Day’ commercial

Ok if you played Army of Two before you know this game is a dude game all the way.  Of course chicks can jump on and play and have fun, but from a design stand point it’s meant to bring out the fun loving neanderthal in all of us.  If you don’t get what I’m throw’n down, just watch this new commercial for Army of Two ‘The 40th Day’….

The first installment of this game got high praise for it’s co-op mode.  Sit down on the couch with a good friend, pop some beer….SODA, and shoot the crap outta stuff!

So only one game even worth mentioning…..and really this is just for the die hard football, college football even, fans.

NCAA Football 10 – X-box PS3 PS2 PSP- With the eyes of college football upon you, players begin their road to glory in a fully customizable career mode featuring player progression, and authentic college football atmospheres. Against your biggest rivals and during the biggest games, seize the day and bust out big-time performances week in and week out to make your case for winning the Heisman Trophy.

The Bigs 2 – Xbox360\PS3\PS2\Wii – Step up to the plate in this sequel where the hits are huge and the plays are big.  This is over the top baseball and is actually pretty fun.  Played a little of last year’s game and it was sweet.

Bioshock/Oblivion Bundle - Xbox360\PS3 – 2 classics in 1 package.  Either way you can’t go wrong.  Bioshock takes place in an underwater city called Rapture.  Things go wrong and it’s up to you to make it right.  It’s a first person shooter that’s got a great story and  allows you to do upgades.  Oblivion takes place in Tamriel’s capital province, Cyrodiil.  It’s a first/third person action adventure that leads you through an action packed story.  Side missions make up a huge part of the game and it even let’s you join different guilds.  Look for hours and hours gaming in this combo package.

Tales of Monkey Island pt 1 – Wii\PC – This is the first of 5 parts of this new little episodic tale in which you follow Guybrush Threepwood in his quest to find a cure for his infected hand that is thought to hold the secrets of eternal life.  If you’ve ever played Tales of Monkey Island before you’ll really enjoy this new take on the franchise.  Check out some gameplay footage here.

Call of Juarez:Bound in Blood -Xbox360\PS3\PC- This is a sequel to the sleeper hit, the original Call of Juarez.  I played the demo of the original and it was a great game.  It’s a first person shooter that takes place in the old wild west.  Yippee Kai Yea Mother Lover.

Harry Potter and the Half Prince -Xbox360\PS3\PS2\PSP\Wii\DS\PC- For all you Harry Potter fans out there, this is the next game to follow with the movie.  The game is a third person single player action game.  So grab your magic stick and….make….magical…things, I guess.

Infernal: Hell’s Vengeance – Xbox360 – Infernal tells the story of Ryan Lennox. He is a former angel who is recruited by the forces of Hell to fight “Etherlight”, which is a heavenly secret agency.

Looks like the same as last week with only 3 real games to talk about.  Typical for summer but still nice to see even a few new games coming out at all.  Call of Juarez will definitely be a great game to escape the heat with…let the cowboys sweat on the screen and let your butt chill in the air conditioning.  Is it too soon to say “butt” and cowboys” in the same sentence since Brokeback Mountain?  Meh.

Transformers - X-box\PS3\PS2\Wii\DS\PC - New third person action game based on the movie that includes single player and a new multiplayer mode.  Transform and blow stuff up!

The Conduit - Wii - First Person online shooter.  Tons of action and very fast paced.  Great use of the Wii controls in first person.  Takes a little gettin used to.  We actually got to try this and both really liked it.
